8. Chat File Sharing Policy

CheriMathLab allows students and teachers to share files through the in-app chat system. By using this feature, you agree to the following:

Permitted content: Only STEM-related academic materials — homework, notes, diagrams, math problems, science documents, study materials, and educational resources.
Prohibited content: Personal photographs, vulgar or inappropriate content, copyrighted material not owned by you, spam, malware, or any non-academic files. Sharing prohibited content may result in immediate account suspension.
Auto-deletion: All shared files are automatically deleted from our servers after 24 hours. We do not retain file content beyond this period.
Monitoring and logging: All file uploads are logged with timestamps, user IDs, and file metadata. Uploads may be reviewed by administrators if flagged or reported.
Legal action: Users who share vulgar, obscene, threatening, or illegal content will have their accounts permanently suspended. CheriMathLab reserves the right to report such content to relevant authorities and pursue legal action.
Consent: Before sharing files for the first time, users must accept the file sharing policy. This consent is recorded and timestamped.
File size and types: Maximum file size is 10MB. Supported formats include images (JPEG, PNG), documents (PDF, DOC, DOCX), spreadsheets (XLS, XLSX), presentations (PPT, PPTX), text files, and ZIP archives.
